A simple but classic a-line skirt with decorative top stitching and welt pockets to make it less ordinary. It was really quick to sew and is a versatile addition to my wardrobe. An easy project, but you do need the patience and skill to do the welt pockets. I also made the boat necked top in a black and white stripe which really makes the colour pop.

Emerald green cotton drill from the stash for the skirt, and a soft ponti knit for the top.

great separates, I like to do color this way as well, it’s a good balance! I like too, that you added the welt pockets, a nice quality detail!

I love this skirt and it looks great on you too. This pattern is perfect for all year round and I am glad you made it in a cotton drill. We who live Down Under and need a summer skirt from a Burda winter magazine will find this pattern handy!!

Nice job and even though we all ooh and ahh over glamorous dresses, this is the type of outfit that really gets the most wear (at least in my world). Visited your blog and your kids are super cute!
