I bought this lovely cashmere cardi recently from a vintage emporium, and decided i wanted to embroider it . I used the wonderful ‘Scandinavian Stitchcraft’ by Karin Holmberg. Its a lovely book , and it contain all the patterns in the back of the book ,which you can trace. Since im very impatient ,i just draw the design by hand . Its a little different on each side but I think this adds to its folksy charm. I’m fair chuffed with how it turned out . Embroidery has always been much more natural to me than dressmaking because if feels like drawing .
