This skirt was originally a dress. It was one of the first things I made. Stupidly I didn’t use a pattern, and so the bodice didn’t fit all that well. I pulled it apart years ago, but had always planned to turn the bottom into a proper skirt. I had hand embroidered all around the hem, and didn’t want that to have gone to waste.
A few weeks ago I finally got around to turning this into a skirt. It took all of 30 minutes – fold over the waistband, pin, in in a zipper, stitch the waistband, stitch in the zipper, and done.
