I bought this plain linen suit a couple of years ago, but never wore the two pieces together as it was just too boring. I had already done a modification on the top, but wasn’t really happy with it, so here is the latest inspiration and I am thrilled!
I added a ruffle in striped linen to the lower edge of the skirt, modified the sleeves so they were smaller and then added ruffles in the same fabric.
I wore this to work today and think it will work equally well for a function, I feel pretty in it (ha!)
Soft 100% linen fabric all up, both the suit and the ruffles.

Thankyou Mary, I need to do the other suit as well (I bought two, the other is tan coloured), then I’ll be really happy!

Why thankyou Ma’am! Maybe there is a little bit of Southern Belle in every girl, I certainly enjoyed wearing it today :)

Did you do the neckline on that top? I love it. If you did, please post a tutorial because I’d like to give it a shot.
