I’ve been seeing tee shirts like this all over the place (JCrew, Anthropologie) and never want to pay more than $10 for a tee shirt, no matter how adorable. JCrew is selling theirs for $42.50 (jerks). I created this using scraps and a simple t-shirt (bought in Target’s sleepware section). When the t-shirt gets ruined (as it inevitably will – I spill stuff and sweat occasionally) I can cut the t-shirt and sew the whole thing onto a new one.
Scraps from: cotton curtains, bridesmaid dress lace, felt wool circles, buttons, and vintage costume jewelry (Grandma’s).
