My version of the Kyla pattern made for my girlfriend. Cotton – my fabric of choice. Darted the bust and added a zipper / hook and eye combo to keep everything snug :).

This is my absolute favourite ‘Kyla’ – love the fabric, love the yo-yo’s!! can you tell me if the pattern has any shaping in the bust? darts or anything?? or did you put them in? Thanks =)

apologies for the late reply. I actually can:t remember if the pattern came with shaping in the bust. What I did was cut the fabric using the biggest size this pattern provided. From there I pinned the muslin unto her body and shaped it from there; marking it with chalk and using pins. Hope this helps!

thank you very much for the comments :). I started the blog last June and it has been a huge therapy / relaxer.
As for the detailing, I’ve been obsessed with yo-yos for quite some time and have found it a great way to use up scrap fabric. I think it gives the dress some added flair. The front pocket was my gf’s idea.

I love your dress! Almost all the details (how did you do them? They are wonderful!) and the fabric choice
