An Elizabethan costume loosely based on the Pelican Portrait of Queen Elizabeth I. I used the Simplicity pattern for the skirts but drafted the patterns for the corset, dress, and undershirt myself. I have uploaded the pics (sorry so many!) in the order it is put on, with some detail shots thrown in along with the painting that was the inspiration.
Cotton Velvet, cotton, pearls, gold braid

I’m speechless! Just the amount of separate, very well crafted, garments is enough to warrant praise, add the gorgeous details and you’ve just become one of my costume heroes. I’m also glad you showed the whole getting dressed-process, it really shows how much time this must have taken you.
