Sydney, Bass Hil...
Inspired by the 2014 Elie Saab Haute couture show, specifically dress number 10 on the catwalk.
I purchased seed beaded french lace and beaded it with hundreds if not thousands of beads, added genuine swarovski crystals and spent 12 hour days beading, it took a month and a bit to make, once the lace was beaded I cut out each motif and hand sewed it on to the dress which was traced out onto the silk chiffon and put into a hoop then hand appliqued it onto the silk chiffon, it was a very labour intensive dress took really long to make but I think it was worth it.
Silk Chiffon for the bodice part, silk habotai for the flowy skirt part and silk crepe de chine as another layer under the skirt, french lace and beads, beads and more beads.
