Description
The Bride was reluctant to try on wedding dresses in a bridal salon, so I offered to make a dress for her. Having previously made items for this bride to be, I was able to advise her on the correct style and shape best suited to her body shape and the feel that she was looking for in her dress. As I work full time I was only able to work on the dress, in the evenings and on week-ends over a 10 week period, from the beginning this was a dream project to work on from the first toile to the finished garment. Spending many hours working on this dress was a pure joy, when you work with beautiful fabrics such as these, it makes the construction so enjoyable. The bride did lose some weight before the wedding so her dress is a little loose in places but I was the only one to notice.
Material Notes
Ivory Corded Lace, Blush Silk Satin, rayon lining, boning, horsehair braid, covered buttons, invisible zipper, interfacing (woven).
