To make a very simple dress with a waist, you do not need any darts. You can use elastic thread that you put on your bobbin stretched and then sew from your waist line to both directions equally.
When finishing this garment, I realised that there are 4 jackets in my closet to wear together with this dress. Also depending on the situation, any type of footwear suits here as well – pumps, sandals or rubber boots if you wish.
