This would be Tales from Monkey Island Elaine Marley. It’s Burda Young Fashion pattern #7813 again. I made most of this costume on alterations. I made my own cummerbund, too, no patterns at all. And because I couldn’t find fabric with the pattern I wanted, I made it with those gel paints you find at Michael’s. I was proud of the costume when I made it, until I opened the door for the kids, they looked at me and my “Elaine Marley for Governor” poster, and promptly asked me, “Who are you supposed to be?”
No piranha poodles were harmed in the making of this costume.
