Halter top dress from the June issue of Burda.
I found the X shape bodice very interesting and knew some red piping would highlight it and would make the red flowers and cherries print pop.
I didn’t make any alteration but I would recommand underline the bodice pieces for more suport, which I didn’t do. I wish I did…
Perfect for the summer!

I LOVE this dress on you. It fits perfect. The cherries with the red piping are beautiful matched. Love, Love, Love it. A dress like that would sell for 100 plus in a retail store.

Beautiful! In your blog, you talk about doing the X in a contrasting color. That’s what I was thinking of doing, I have a navy fabric with white flower and I was thinking of a white X and some light blue piping and maybe no piping at all. I’m on the muslin at the moment ;)

That would look very nice. I guess you could forget the piping if you want to use contrasting fabric for the X. Good luck, I hope to see your dress.

Great dress, I am planning on making it too. Good tip for the underlining. I was also thinking about boning for support (?)

Boning would be a great idea on the bottom piece of the bodice. I hadn’t thought about that, thanks.
