Description

This is an older project of mine – a jacket with a floral pattern (looks like the elvish designs from the Lord of the Rings :-) and grey trousers. Both pieces are based on patterns from Burda magazine. However I usually do not wear them in this combination – I prefer combining these garments with some more colourful and more joyful clothes as I do not like to dress myself up too formally.

Material Notes

Trousers – cotton, jacket – cotton blend with a plastic velvet-like pattern, acetate lining.

The collar on the jacket is perfect. The whole style feels so modern and clean. I love this. You did such a good job on it. Great fabric choice.

The jacket is from Burda 4/2004, number 112. The original pattern has piping pockets (I made in-seam pockets instead) and hidden buttons. The trousers are from Burda 9/2001, number 120. I did not alter that pattern except adjusting the lenght – I´m rather short, unfortunately :-) Thank you all for nice comments, I´m glad you like it…

Both pieces are very chic. I especially love, love the jacket. It would definately be a go to piece if it were in my wardrobe.
