I made this dress way back in October 2011. I liked the simplicity of it and the way the collar falls beautifully.
This was the very first burdastyle magazine I ever got a hold of and was very surprised yesterday when I say the blog on the Fifties Revival. I believe it is worth sharing….it came together nicely and I did not make any modification to it. Instructions were pretty easy to follow.
It is worth a try…What do u think????

Wow that’s an awesome look! You definitely sell this pattern better than the model photo. I want one now. Did you use a stretch fabric like they recommend? How necessary is the stretch?

Thank You :-) Yes I use stretch satin. The stretch is necessary because it does not use a zip. Hope to see your version

What was the pattern like to sew? I find Burda pattern instructions difficult to follow for some designs and just wondered your thoughts on that for this pattern. This dress looks so good on you and inspired me to try it!

Thank You :-) Try it…this pattern was very straight forward and easy to sew. I agree with you that some of burda patterns instructions can be very difficult and requires lot of adjusting. This pattern has only three pieces and require minimal time. Looking forward to see your version
