Crystal Spring, ...
I have projects from Septemeber I should post, but this is just more fun. :)
This costume was created by “diy-ing” the top and pants. I made sleeves for my leather gloves from scratch.
I wanted to create a costume where there was no mistaking the character that is being portrayed – that has happened to me before – so I decided having scissors for hands was the best choice. Using windshield wipers as the scissorhands was entirely my own idea; the windshield wipers are pretty harmless because they have no sharp edges, but look pretty nasty. When I showed my mom the finished “hands” she thought they looked like they could cause severe bodily harm.
I want t o wear this costume out where people wouldn’t know it’s me, just to see the reactions I’d get.
More information on this costume is in the blog link.
I had a lot of fun with this and thought I’d write a blog post: http://pictureit17.blogspot.com/2013/10/edward-scissorhands-costume.html
polyester, blends, random hardware and belts.
