Description

A cape I decided to do to wear with my Bombshell dress. I followed McCalls 5913. The project is unlined and I decided to underline with fleece to add extra warmness. All good and well, except the layers are too thick and machine buttonholes were impossible to do. I managed to find some giant snaps (almost 3cm) and used buttons as a decorative touch.

Material Notes

A wool blend I bought in Hungary and fleece.

oh this is wonderful. i’m travelling to london over new years, and i live in a very warm, tropical place, so i’ve been wanting to make a jacket, but i don’t have heaps of the fabric i want to use. this is perfect though! i’m going to make it with the belt, so excited.

That’s a really smart idea to use snaps and buttons as decoration! I love the whole look!!
