Port Au Prince, ...
I was very happy with the results of my first try with SBCC patterns, the free tonic t-shirt pattern, so I decided to go ahead and buy another one. This one is the “lemon drop dress”. The fit for petite is absolutely great and the instructions are good too. The only thing you need to remember with these PDF patterns is to not overlap the pages!
More info about this pattern and pictures on my blog (and you can also see a picture of my new haitian home!!)
The fabric is a vintage linen-and-something-blend that I got during my last trip to Paris (amazing store: De Gilles !!). One can tell it’s a blend because it does not wrinkle (YAY!!) but it still has a very natural/raw feel to it.
Try out menswear inspired wardrobe staples, like unconventional jackets and high waisted pants.
