South Bend, Unit...
I just finished designing and sewing my Easter outfit (dress and bolero jacket). The pieces were inspired by the TV show Mad Men & my babcha.
I started the project with the intention of creating a very different style of dress. But sometimes the creative process takes over and pushes me in new directions.
I made a video of the entire creative process: from sketch to final project photos on YouTube here: http://bit.ly/1cQh7xS
I used 2 Burdastyle patterns for this project: 12/2013 #122 Dress & 10/2013 #129 Jacket
Just a heads up for anyone using the 12/2013 pattern: I consistently wear size #36 for Burda patterns, but I found the #122 dress was a little tight in the hips (hence the added stripe down the front of the skirt to add ease to the skirt).
