I know this is not really a sewing project worthy of much buzz, but I thought I’d share it because it was sooo easy, and I think it looks kind of cool.
Before doing yoga the other night, I needed a headband to keep my bangs off of my face. So I went to big, old T-shirt and cut the sleeve off. I then cut off the cuff and evened it out and voila! A comfy, wide headband like you see in the stores.

I think I saw it in a book called “Tease,” it’s a book that was re-gifted to me…it’s full of ideas of how to use old, down-and-out T-shirts and give them new lives.

Dare I say – great minds think alike. About five years ago I used to wear a head scarf daily and I was always trying different things tied on as headbands. One day I cut some sleeves off of t-shirts and found yet another type of headband. You can also leave it open/use the whole sleeve and hold your hair back even better. Yay – Congratulations on the discover!
