Cropped Leggings & Top – Butterick 6541 Fast & Easy Misses 1992
I whipped these leggings up in a jiffy, and I even made another crop top like last time, out of what was left over of this generous sized stretch knit off-cut. All in all I made both items within a day, but if I was being more careful I could have paid attention to matching up the print design more perfectly. The topstitching at the waist is a bit wonky, as the fabric was very stretchy and hard to control; also I didn’t evenly distribute the elastic in the neckline of the crop top, if you can tell lol. The leggings I made in medium size look like relaxed loose pants rather than leggings because the fabric is so stretchy. But the great thing is now I feel motivated to go and work out in a non-self-conscious way lol, and in one of the latest trendy prints. Here I am pretending to exercise at the outdoor gym… don’t laugh haha.
