Description

Ok…as my tears were flowing, I finally broke down and ripped up my Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress in order to duplicate the pattern. My sister came over to console me as I ripped seam after seam to one of my favorite designer dresses. I finally dried my tears long enough to make pattern out of the pieces. I made one adjustment and shorten the sleeves to the elbow. And wolla, after 5 hours I have a duplicate dress.

Material Notes

Fabric: Print Silk Jersey (the fabric is prettier in person than photo)
contrast: Solid White Silk Jersey (collar, cuff and belt)

GIRL you are a RENEGADE ! I can’t believe you did that! What guts and fortitude, patience! I would never have attempted it but obviously you are highly skilled. What a gorgeous dress!

If you are ever in New York City check out the Fashion Garment District located approx between 35th and 41st Street…..you can find just about any type of fabric you want. I purchased this fabric from Moods Fabric store.

I am glad you liked the dress. I will most definitely sew the DVF dress back to its original state. I purchased it on a trip to Italy in 2005. It’s one of my favorite dresses ever.
