Description

My niece asked me to make a dress from a found fabric, a duvet cover, a beige woven with ribbon embroidery and hand chenille-ed vines. Started with a pattern but changed it to lower the neckline, to line the dress, move zipper to side seam. Fitted over a corset, she looked lovely, dancer’s body. Placement of the vines critical to keep them out of the seams

Material Notes

trim the embroidered chenille to take the bulk out of the seams

I’m always really confused why people need to blur their faces, or do other weird things to hide, it looks pretty creepy. Other than that, your dress looks great, very good fit, love the texture, an exellent re-use, very thrifty :)

The dress is really lovely. The camouflaged face looks really creepy though!

Really beautiful work. Excellent tailoring. You’ve really worked with the fabric and made it look light & effortless.
