This was my run-through dress to make sure I could still sew after the 10ish years it’s been since I last sew’d. I altered the Danielle bodice pattern to make it shorter, because, well – I am short. I made it sleeveless for the humid summer hotness coming up soon. I also put in CURVED bust darts because I thought it gave my boosies a more natural shape. Lastly, added in-seam pockets, which I’m not sure I’ll work into my “real” dress or not. I am really happy that it turned out so well, and I look forward to making another one with my original/intended fabrics!

Really stunning result (and just a run-through!). Love the color! The darts are indeed a problem, On my second Danielle I’ll definitely also try those curves darts.

Gorgeous dress! The fit is amazing, and what a colour! I can’t believe this is just a run through! I really like the curved dart idea and the results speak for themselves. Would you be willing to do a how to?
