This blue dress is another charity shop find which needed customising. It fits me perfectly but it was rather plain while the neckline made it way too revealing for work to my liking. The two silk ties were also charity shop buys – I unpicked them, folded them in half, hemmed the edges, turned back inside out and shirred them to get the ruffle effect. Hand finished them with a nice simple knot at the back!
One charity shop dress - £2.75, two neckties at £1.50 each, shirring elastic, thread.
