Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I love the style of Colette’s Peony but I have never managed to get the bodice to fit me properly – I guess I’m just not the right shape. For this fabric – a brushed cotton with little flying ducks on – I decided to try and get the same effect using the bodice of Simplicity 2444 and the Peony skirt.It’s not perfect but considering this was an experiment I’m pretty pleased with the result. And the brushed cotton is sooo soft and comfortable.

Material Notes
Brushed cotton (I think, got it off ebay), red with a brown flying duck print. Unfortunately the close ups of the print just didn’t show it properly. Wrong light, I think.

Thank you all so much! Yes, the fabric has a duck print motif, I couldn’t get it to photograph well enough to show. And I have no idea what has happened to the font – it looks ok in editing mode but is weird on the post – sorry.
