hunting for treasures in thrift stores is one of my favorite things to do. especially when i find something for really cheap. i paid less than a dollar for this gorgeous fabric with duck prints. too bad it wasn’t enough to make a whole dress so i had to combined it with other fabric i had. even so i think it turned out pretty good. a pattern is from “stylish dress book”. also blogged @pakutke.wordpress.com.
silk, jersey

I adore this dress. I think it is time for me to buy a Japanese sewing book. Every project I love, ends up being Japanese. I love how falls straight at the back.

I agree! Second hand shopping is the best! The duck material is a great find, you produced a nice garment.

I am in love with this. I like how it’s 2 different fabrics, that really makes it cool. I agree it’s so much fun finding fabric at thrift stores!
