My best friend has a little girl. Since I dont have one, guess who gets all of Auntie’s girlie creations! It started as a mommy and me project, and blew up as I got into it and couldnt decide which fabric I wanted to use. Basic pattern is my own, with the idea of the ruffle in front borrowed from the Coffee Date dress I made for mom. Thanks elainemay for the coffee date dress pattern! I made one for myself as well. :)
Cotton. Lots and lots of cotton from my scrap box.

Wonderful! All of them!!! I’m also sewing for friends’ daughters and it is so funny! Just one question: do the dresses have side zipper or some other closure mean, or are they large enough to be put on without an additional opening? Thanks! :)

The neck is big enough to slip over her head, but I did recently put a button closure on the back of the most recent ones!

If in doubt which fabric to use,use them all – I like that stance :-) Gorgeous dresses! Can’t wait to have babies myself now to dress them in this sort of lovely clothes! hehe
