Description
This dress is based on pattern #116 Burda 02/2011. I love this fabric and decided to use this crepe chiffon. Maybe not so good choice because then I had to use lining. I’ve used dark shiny jersey for the upper part. First I made the upper part with a heavier fabric, then I had to change for this. I also decided to have waist band instead of elastic band. At the end I’m happy with the results :)
Material Notes
Crepe chiffon and elastic jersey.

I really like this dress Ellen. I have made this pattern just as a top and it is so comfortable but as a dress I haven’t tried, so you have inspired me to make a dress for my very fast approaching summer. I too really like your fabric and it really suits you. the blue in the fabric matches your blue eyes.

I have an overflowing wardrobe because I love to sew, so much!! And I have a huge stash of fabric too, so I will never be out of something to wear. I guess your wardrobe is similar??

Well isn’t this dress just the coolest :) Just like Mary I also first thought the top section fabric was leather. This fabric is so much fun and I love all the different shades of blue and grey in it. Well done Ellen :)
