Two of my friends went to Uganda this summer with Invisible Children. Before they left, I asked one of my friends if she could get me fabric as my souvenir. She got me four yards of two of the most beautiful fabrics I have even seen! With only two yards of each, my dress pattern choices were narrowed down, but I decided on a shift pattern of my sister’s. It hits right on/above the knee (which is a bit funny after hearing some stories of my friends’ from their trip).
2 yards of cotton fabric from Uganda, navy thread, turquoise 20 inch zipper, turquoise lacy hem tape.
Elena! Thank you so much for the wonderful fabric! I love you!
Mum— thanks for helping a bit with the darts.
