I’m so glad to see you in this dress: as for me, it’s one of the best Burda’s knits patterns. I have the same dress but I sewed it several years ago so it’s already worn enough and not so good to display here. Your variant is so nice: the idea to add a belt is so simple but absolutely winsome and fabric so bright. I adore your work – you have just a stunning look!!!!

What a great dress. I love the cut, it suits very well. I wish I had this burda issue. I would sew that dress straight away too. Big compliment!

I found the pattern I was thinking about, but it’s size 44… Sorry! It’s in Burda 6/2013.

As usual you’ve sewn a simply-gorgeus-simple-dress. Who said “less is best”?I like the way you always make the right things, as matching colours and fabrics with lovely patterns.

Thanks a lot – that’s very kind of you to say:) I like it, and it’s fun with colors and fabric! and I do like to try different patterns – it can happen that I will make the same once again, but then I really love it :)

Oh, thank you, Ellen! My website’s a bit sparse and I’m very new to it all, but I’m really enjoying learning ways to improve it! :-)

Lovely dress Ellen! I love this fabric and all the colours. And your shoes of course :) I admire your courage to use bold prints and strong colours. Looks so good on you! You seem to have great summer in Norway. We have the same here in Finland. Over 20 degrees and the sun is shining even if September is soon here. But my mind (and sewing projects) is already in autumn :)

Thanks a lot Anjovis! I do like strong colors, and that is the nice thing with making your own wardrobe, then you can choose whatever you like :) You know, even today the sun is shining and we had nearly 25 degrees in the weekend! so I’m Happy! and still in the summer-mode.. I will not let it go.. :)

One of the reasons I like very much your projects ellen is that because many of them they remind me of past favorite patterns! I had traced this many years ago but never made it:) I was afraid that it would emphasize my tummy but of course you don’t have such a problem! The pattern is very flattering on you and as always you used a colorful and gorgeous print! And I looove your shoes and belt!

Thank you very much Liliv! I can tell you – I had this pattern for a long time too, and I was looking at it many times before I really decided to try it, but I’m happy I did:) I’ve seen a similar pattern in one of the latest Burda as well..

gorgeous dress ellen and i love your fabric. The style suits you as it’s so elegant and classy. You have styled it perfectly with the green obi belt and heels, i have the same heels in tan lemon and pink. I’d love to have this dress in my wardrobe xx
