Usually when I buy patterns I enjoy the challenge of a new set of instructions and make the garment once and am then reluctant to make the same thing again because that is ‘boring’ but patterns aren’t cheap and seeing as I paid R53 for my Butterick 5313 pattern I’m definitely going to get value for my money and make this dress a few times seeing as it’s a fun style that comes together easily and can be made in a day when my baby naps! So this is my take 2 of the flounce dress, I made it with a contrasting yellow and white stripe top and teal bottom. My husband asked me whether I’d run out of fabric for the top……but today when I wore it he admitted he did like the dress :-)

It looks great! I know exactly what you mean about making something again. It’s really a problem especially when I’ve promised to make multiples already for two people… it’s just not as fun the second time and I have a MUCH harder time getting motivated! So if you figure out any secrets in that area, let me know! :)
