Dress Reconstruction

Yes…I did not make this dress, but if you wanted to it’d be pretty easy. I bought this unflattering red dress with a black sheer layer that draped over it because it was cheap and looked really vintage to me. I hate when girls go to dances and are all wearing the same slutty little dress, but I guess I should have bought a dress with a more flattering design. To fix it up, I decided to use my handy dandy rotary cutter to remove the weird spiky bottom and change the awkward triangular boob neck thing into a sweetheart neckline. Love it :D maybe I’ll actually wear this one to another dance again. I’m sure no one will recognize it from before!

Material Notes

stretch material for both layers…almost like a swimsuit material.

I think you looked great in the ‘before’ dress, but your changes are a big improvement.

That’s a great remodel, it’s gone from something cheap looking to something you’d expect to find on Modcloth! Well done!
