The dress is Burda pattern 7598. It is made from tracksuit fabric, bought many years ago.

Many thanks for your comments. I have added a picture of the fabric to show the fleecy inside. I described it as tracksuit fabric, but actually it is so old (you can see from the mark down the centre front that it was stored folded) that I’m sure more sophisticated materials are used for sportswear these days. It’s quite thick and easy to work with because it doesn’t fray. The pattern would look also look good (and more dressy) in wool.

This is so amazingly cool! I have to admit that I don’t know what tracksuit fabric is – I should look it up! I have a dark green wool fabric that I have been meaning to make a long-sleeve dress with. This might be the inspiration to finally get to it…
