This pattern from Burda waiting for me for a long time. Usually, I do not work by default cuts. From Burda 12/2008 I found a couple of fantastic dresses, and I did not change anything.
Black fabric is very thin wool (for men’s suits for the summer)

whow, I love it!! I get the impression, that dramatic collars work better on short-or middle-long-sleeved garments anyway. and your creation beats the original ;))

Your version looks better than the original. Good job! How did you manage to license it for sale? I remember their online patterns being copyright free but didn’t know that about the magazine versions too.

I really like your version of this beautiful pattern. I think the soft wool suiting makes it look so soft and feminine.

I like your fabric choice! It softens the shape of that wonderfully dramatic collar, making it more wearable in the day; also it gives it a 1950s look, which is very in at the moment!

Great dress. Is it just me or does this 2008 pattern look eerily similar to a recent plus-sized evening wear pattern?
