Description

Frankly said, I thought I would never finish this dress. There were so many obstacles on the way – fabric, which was not the best choice for this pattern (and too advanced for my sewing skills), hole in the middle of the dress made with too hot iron, buttons which didn’t want to be covered with slippy fabric.. But in the end, I am so glad that I finished it. It turned out to be such a cozy dress for warm summer evenings!

This is so beautiful and delicate and tasteful and amazing. I love the transparency and the way it falls around you. I would love to make this for myself but I can’t imagine trying to do pintucks on chiffon without having an aneurism.

I’m so glad you finished this pattern, it looks perfect on you. I was curious what fabric you used?

Thank you! I used light weighted chiffon and added double layer of it, so it would not be transparent. If you are planning to make this dress I would suggest to use light cotton, it will drape differently, but would not be so hard to sew. Good luck! :)

A lovely dress. (and bad iron holes are a nightmare!)

Good that you finished it and didn’t let you defeat by the obstacles. It’s a nice dress and looks very comfy, though stylish.

I’m glad you persevered, its so pretty. I like how the collar opens, and the shorter sleeves. You’ve done an amazing job. I’m looking at the burda pattern with new eyes

Thank you! yeah, it’s always fun to change some details from the original pattern, it gets a differnet flavour :)
