There was a reason for a new dress: I got an invitation to a piano concert.
Typical every woman’s problem – there was nothing to wear. So I had to quickly sew something nice. The fabric I already had. The pattern had to wait for one year. I’ve wanted this dress since I saw it first.
The most beautiful version I’ve seen, was in white / champagne color.
My color is indigo blue.
The dress I have sewn very quickly, practically in one day. Most of the time I design with the transmission lines spent.
I made the sleeves longer than the original.

Looks great. I have that pattern, but I have not had success sewing with jersey previously. All the patterns that I like call for jersery. Any tips on sewing with jersey?

Please always use elastic stitch for Jersey.
You may sew a size smaller than you usually wear.
Always a good process-Jersey retain their shape.

I would love to make this dress in a gorgeous black jersey – full-length – as a concert dress when I sing in concert!

@apfelbluete, last Saturday, I taped all of the pattern magic papers together and traced on my seam allowances, then trimmed everything extra off, but I still need to trace the pattern onto pattern tracing fabric, and then will probably have to cut the top out down on the floor, because I think it is too large to fit on my table! The cat and kitten will have fun “helping” me! I bought some fabric on sale, and not sure if I have enough for the top……..if not, I’ll use something else and save the sale fabric for a different top!
Maybe I will do this tomorrow!
