i made that dress from an old dress of mine which has been too small for me, i first measured my daughter, then cut of the bodice part of the dress, and took out two peaces from the dress skirt (it was made from many small peaces), then sew the edges together. i drew the pattern myself for the straps and bodice part. as a lining i used a peace of an old sheet ( i always do that, keeps the necessary parts nice and strong). from there on its easy – attach the straps between bodice peace and lining and sew together, then pin bodice part to skirt part and sew together, and voila, dress almoust ready. i say almoust because i sew on two buttons by the front of the straps as a small detail (buttons i took off of the original bodice peace).
