A while ago I bought a red pin-up dress from the clothing store where I work. I absolutely love the styles of the 50s and 60s (in case you didn’t know that by now lol) and made it up in my mind that I was going to make a pin-up inspired dress. I found this awesome stretch bengaline at Joann Fabrics and immediately starting creating the design for the dress in my head. For mydress, I created the bodice part from pieces of a bodice from a pattern I have. I made a waistband and for the skirt I made it a 1/2 circle skirt. It hits right above my knee and has a mathing purple invisible zipper.

thanks!! yeah, the bodice is definitely fitted, but that’s how I wanted it so it would have that 50s pin-up vibe.
