This is the second dress I made using the 4/2010 BURDA magazine pattern for model 127, and this time I made a few changes. I added a belt to the front and some elastic band in the top front seam. I also altered the pattern as the print on the material was pretty inconvenient, so I had to cut the front and back panels of the pattern in half, horizontally, just below the waist, to be able to fit the printing on the fabric. I also changed the original pattern by assembling all front pieces into one so as to avoid the rectangle seams which I didn’t like. I used a very elastic, shiny jersey fabric, so there was no need for attaching a zipper.
Depending on the material, details and print, this dress can be casual as well as very elegant or even worn to work.
Take off with pleats, cut-outs, insets, and futuristic prints.
