I made this cute skirt using a very simple home made pattern. Each piece is a simple geometric shape, so it was quick and easy to make. I got the idea for this skirt from the skirts I had seen in Skylark Boutique in Auckland. http://www.skylarkboutique.com/
I have used an off cut of beautiful cotton upholstery fabric, that I picked up from a cute shop in Onehunga (Auckland, New Zealand). It works really well for the design as it sews very nicely and gives a sculptural look that suits that pattern design.
