burda magazine dress 8/2011, mod 142
..
i love the way it turned out
but never ever gonna make something like that again
all those pleats drove me nuts
every single part of this dress have some sort of pleats
and since i do not own a dress form to make it all a bit easier
i went through hell to finish it
choice of fabric made it even a bigger hell
damn thing has it’s own will
..
i was lucky enough not to make any mistakes
and to choose very light chiffon-like fabric
any other kind of fabric would make this dress waaay too heavy
(it’s almost 5 m of chiffon in it)
..
it’s sort of tricky to get into the dress
bottom part is like a fabric maze
but once in it.. i kind of forgot all the stress
..

It’s a really nice dress you made! I remerber seeing it on the magazine and thinking: Whaou, would look great but seems tricky. But seeing your version makes me reconsider it. And the colour is amazing, it looks so good with your hair!
