Description

Pattern used: Leather Tie Jacket 11/2012 #132

My inspiration was “drape-paper-weight-suede-jacket” in: www.shopbop.com/ which cost about 700€.

Material Notes

I used a vintage 1980’s suede and leather 2 piece set. That was size 36 and I am size 40-42, so I had to be creative.
I cut back from existing back (plus a bit of the fronts).
I cut the sleeves from sleeves.
I cut the fronts from the skirt.
Fronts were done differently from pattern, the neckline was straightened and the piece widened by 8"/20cm in order to achieve drape.
Existing front of jacket was left over.

Thank you! I was iffy about washing, I didn’t want water marks on it. Maybe steaming?

oh cool i have been thinking of using thrifted leather jackets to remake something (even read you can wash leather)…you did a great job with this!
