I created this top for a client looking for something edgy, easy to wear and flattering to her shape. The leather is a soft lambskin that made it easy to created the draped effect. Hidden inner support holds the top in place with an open back. The straps are gross grain ribbon cris-crossing across the back and closing with silver suspender clips. Can be worn over a shirt as a vest.

I created my own pattern by draping one on my dress form. It’s a simple patter of 4 main pieces with straps of grosgrain ribbon across the back. The style lines are princess seams. To create the draped cowl neckline there is a hidden pleat at the neck/shoulder seam.
