Description
It’s made by acqua marina crepe-chiffon (SILK and COTTON mixed!)and it’s lined inside with 100% Cotton fabric.
- zipper left side
- sweet heart shaped bust
The inside corset is boned(and with cups,like a bra)and outside it’s draped in 2 different ways(a very long work of Haute Couture and patience!).
The skirt seems like a ruffled cloud^^
The bag is part of this fantastic dress and it’s obviously made by the same fabric…so you don’t have problems to find a purse to match with!
I made this dress in almost 3 weeks…very very long work!

I love love love this dress! I know this is your own pattern, and it’s gorgeous. The fabric is gorgeous, too. I was wondering if you have any tutorials online on making a corset foundation. I’m working on learning it now (without any official instruction), starting with making an actual corset. I haven’t found a great instructional piece, though! Let me know!

Alice, your creation is LOVELY! …but I have always been curious about this type of design….did you individually tack down the layers so they stay on the bodice front? ….and while picturing the inside of a bodice like that in my head, I can think of 3 layers (4 in this case), the fabric for the shirring, the bodice front underneath, the section that has the bust cups and boning and then lining to cover all of that, is that correct? sorry! I don’t mean to be a pess!! but I create my own patterns too but I’m not as advanced as this in my sewing and what I know is what I read or make up on my own….Thankyou!!!!!

Una consulta, donde puedo conseguir un tutorial sobre la forma o formas de realizar el drapeado??? Mi sobrina cumple los 15 años a finales de año y deseo hacerle el vestido!!! Hi Joanne! Unfortunately the pattern is not from Burda,but it’s my own personal design :)
In the next weeks,I’ll list a dress,designed by me,with its pattern too! Stay tuned! : D

Please can you tell me about the wedding dress train- is it a full wide width of fabric with no centre seam below the back waist. Both this and the aqua dress with folds are beautiful. Are they based on Burda patterns or a New Look interpretation. Looking forward to hearing from you. caterina.

Hi Caterina! The wedding dress train has a lot of seams ;) Unfotunately the train can’t be so wide without seams. Look the back photo ;)

Unfortunately it isn’t the fabric manufacture pressed…. I draped all the fabric with patience and a lot of thread :D
