I made this evening gown for a friend who I attended a gala with for our Rowing Club this fall. I have made dresses cut on the bias in the past and I found that it worked out very well to cut and then hang the fabric until I was ready to sew. It gave the material time to “set” and also kept it out of harms way until I was ready to put it all together. The bodice is self lined entirely with a cotton batiste interlining and the skirt is lined with a bright lime green silk fabric.
