I made this lovely gown for a client for her second marriage. The overall shape is beautiful, but being cut on the bias, and made from a slick silk fabric, it was a difficult own to cut out and to sew. To get the V front of the waist part to come to a perfect V was tough and I had to unpick and resew. Also getting the lining and the outer to sew together at the shoulders and to turn out and match up at the seams was also difficult to get right. I wish there were better instructions for this gown as it left a lot to the imagination. Sewing the button loops just right and evenly spaced was a tough time and I had to re-do this to get them even. Overall, this is a beautiful gown, but best left to experts.
