Description

Jersey drape-neck top from May 2012 Burda magazine. Size EUR36. This fabric has a lot of drape, so I ended up feeling like the top was too big. I re-seamed at the shoulders with a 5/8" seam which helped bring it up a little. I may still take in the sides and take off some of the length.

Material Notes

Cotton/rayon medallion print jersey, very soft and drapey. I only used about one yard, and didn’t cut on the bias because of the drape inherent in the fabric.

Not too sure exactly how to do it but I will try it as am too short for any boxy style lol. Will definitely be doing a muslin, not made any tops yet but hope too when sewing classes start in Sept, or maybe before if I have the confidence lol.

One of my faves in the magazine. Can’t wait to make.

I really liked your idea of curving in the side seams – may go back and do that! I’ll be looking for yours!
