This is dress no. 6 from Hisako Sato’s Drape Drape book. Love this book, hate the tracing, but love the finished dresses.
I used merino jersey for this and really like the feel. I just happened to buy the right amount of fabric for this dress, so it was meant to be. I can’t wait for summer to come around so I can wear this one to the beach.
It was really easy to sew, just a lot of gathering at the back.

great job. it looks just like the one in the book. i’ve been wanting to make this one for awhile and you’ve inspired me to start tracing (yuck!)!

Just bought Drape Drape in Dubai- I cannot wait to use it but I am definitely a little frightened of it. Glad you had success; it is inspiring me to go out and buy some knit!

Wow, the back looks totally interesting! I also love that the seaming of the back is lower than the front seaming! So cute and really well done.
