I have always loved Oscar de la Renta’s work and the Fall 2010 line had this amazing jewel toned skirt with fur trim that I had to have. Well I certainly can’t afford the absurd amount of money so I set out to make something of my own. I found this very interesting peacock blue silk suiting. The way it looks and moves in the light reminds me of the blue dragons in the “Dragon Rider’s of Pern” series. I started calling it the Dragon Scale Skirt.
Its lined in a heavy rayon bemberg. The lining and skirt are all self drafted. I also made the blouse and it is the same material as my Polka Dot dress.

Plan a weekend getaway in these sweater dresses and furry accessories.
