I made this waistcoat as a gift for my nephew, who’s 7 and THE biggest Dr Who fan ever! For the past year or two now, he’s taken to dressing like alternating Doctors whenever we see him – sometimes with a skinny tie for the David Tenant Dr, and other days with a little bow tie for the Matt Smith Dr! So cute!
I used a Knippie (KnipMode’s kids magazine) pattern as the base, and some “Tardamask” fabric from Spoonflower inside and out. There are even little pockets inside for him to store his sonic screwdriver toy!

Very cool. And your nephew is a little Doctor (or model) in the making with his poses.

What a marvellous Doctor he is!
I’ve used this lovely fabric too, and I love what you’ve done with it. That vest is fantastic!
